And this isn’t just any baklava. We’ve been making this authentic recipe—the same one Taita learned decades ago as a young bride on the Mediterranean coast--for our own loved ones and collleagues for years. When one of our most beloved family members adopted a vegan diet, and as others became more health conscious, we developed a Vegan/Heart Happy version that even butter lovers adore. And when Taita's skirts started getting a bit snug, she invented the Reduced Sugar option. (She loves the Vegan--Reduced Sugar combo, claiming it's naughty fun to enjoy a lowered guilt factor without sacrificing the rich flavor and delicately crisp flaky texture of our Traditional Baklava pastry.)
As members of our circle gradually moved to various corners of the US, we wanted a way to continue sharing this delicacy from a distance. Not baked days in advance and shipped--we wanted to let our friends and family enjoy just-baked freshness whenever they wished, without added preservatives or corrupting the original baklava recipe.
Taita finally developed a method for accomplishing that goal... meaning that you, too, can now have freshly baked baklava anytime you want.
We are a small boutique company. All of our products are made to order, and all of our baklava is made by hand. Our goal is to bring gastronomic bliss and personalized service to a loyal customer base. You'll never find us cutting corners or rushing product out the door at the expense of quality.
